Most of you know my life has gone through some huge changes recently!  I am now serving our church as a temporary interim pastor since Tim’s retirement.  When the Session approached me several months ago, I prayerfully decided to step up and help Knox in any way I could.  My report back to you is this:  our church members have been awesome in helping my new role and looking ahead to changes we may want to make.  I love how the Holy Spirit challenges us to not get complacent nor stale.  Churches around the world are facing new ways to do outreach, yet still recognizing that you can’t beat personal involvement and invitations.  Thanks so much to all of you who have touched my heart with your great kindness to Cindy and me.

Those attending church live or online know that last Sunday we started a five week series on ways to build joyful homes and marriages.  Why did I select such a topic in the first place?
God placed that desire on my heart through the brokenness I have been seeing in the lives of others I know.  So many broken homes have challenged what the Bible tells us marriages should be.  My focus over the next four weeks is meant to help each of us see we have roles which can impact people God has placed within our sphere of influence.  When the body of Christ works together, we can bring amazing healing and reconciliation to those whom we deeply care about.  Meditate on Proverbs 3:5 & 6 as we hear the upcoming sermons and discuss our family lives in small groups after our worship services.
