Knox Youth Fellowship
Striving to be an inclusive, welcoming youth group (6th-12th) that helps teens to discover who God is calling them to be.
SUNDAY MORNING
Junior High (6th grade to 8th grade)
Senior High (9th grade to seniors)
These classes focus on reinforcing biblical concepts with a particular focus on application: how to live holy lives in a corrupt world.
Confirmation Class (9th grade to seniors)
Starting in September 2024, all eligible 9th graders and older are invited with their parents to come along the Confirmation journey as we explore the affirmation of one's baptismal vow. In the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), confirmation is a sacred rite marking a significant milestone in a young person's faith journey. Over the 9 months, there will be classes, reflection, field trips, and mentorship as the confirmands deepen their understanding of Christian beliefs, Presbyterian traditions, and the significance of their faith. At the end of our time, we'll have a worship service recognizing the confirmands and they'll confirm their commitment to follow Christ. A unique part of the PCUSA is our emphasis on the communal nature of confirmation, reinforcing the importance of belonging to the covenant community and fostering a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth and service. If you'd like more information or to sign up, please contact Josh Sweeney.
SUNDAY EVENING
Celebration Choir (6th grade to seniors)
The Celebration Choir rehearses August through May. The choir sings at worship service each month. During the spring, Celebration Choir takes their music ministry on tour by performing a musical throughout our community. The first week of June, they take their powerful message on an out-of-town tour.
The Celebration Choir seeks to SING for our Lord:
Share the word
Inspire others
Nurture community
Glorify God
