“My Soul Magnifies The Lord”

A Family Christmas Concert

Join us for a night filled with joyous music and fun skits as we celebrate the wonderous miracle that is Christmas. You’ll hear and sing some of your favorite Christmas Carols complete with orchestra, organ, choir, and piano.

In this concert, we’ll go back to the very first Christmas and look closely at the song of praise that Mary sings in Luke 1:46-55. This song, known in Latin as the Magnificat, opens with “My soul magnifies the Lord”. This song has been used in the church since the church began. We will explore a few settings of the Magnificat by composers such as Bach, Gounod, and Tallis alongside the more well-known Christmas Carols.

This will truly be a night to remember and an excellent way to get your family in the Christmas spirit! Join us for a time of jubilant celebration as we remember the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
